Let God Lead You
In this article I wanted to explain the extreme importance of letting God lead you. This is crucial if you are to succeed in any and every area of your life. For now, let's talk about allowing the Lord to take first place in your productions. I personally believe that this is a missing factor in a lot of Christian music today. It would just seem that everything is starting to sound the same. Now, in no way am I trying to put down Christian music. But what I am saying is that if we are to win the world for Christ, then we have got to come with something different, unique and original. Remember, God is an original God. He doesn't need to imitate anything because He is The Creator of all things. So if He is truly leading and guiding you, then your music will show it. It will draw people into the presence and it will be like a magnet to those who do not know our Lord and will also draw Christians in; and will make them take a second look at their lives, and they will begin to crave more of God. They'll want to dig deeper, and in doing so, a whole new genre can be created. We will no longer be trying to copy what the world is doing; instead, the world will be trying to copy what we are doing. They'll start asking questions which will give us the opportunity to give them the Gospel. It has to be all God and none of us. We are just a tool, messengers, fulfilling the Great Commission. So before you produce your next song, plug-in to the Power Source, and watch how far the Lord will take you. God bless you,
