Catholicdeacon If you are taken aback by my posted comment. I will ask you to defer back to it and substantuate any errors I may have said. I prefer to dialoge in the arena of scripture only. Feeble attempts to insult others who dont agree with you is childish and unloving lets try not to do that any more. Read II Peter 1:5-7 it should help you out. Again if you disagree with what I posted please show me in the scriptures. May the God of Abraham see your sincerity. P S I am not a Protestant.

I defiantley will! I myself have to prepare to serve a Confirmation Mass this Monday! Can't wait! Here in MA, there's a Portuguese Azorean Tradition called the romarios, a group of men and women who meet at my church at seven for Mass (which I get to serve) than, in a shawl (to represent the shawl Chrsit wore in the desert) and a bardoa (a wooden staff that Christ walked with as sheperd) we walk and pray the Rosary on the Streets 24/7. One half of the group sings the rosary, the other half prays it. We walk from church to church, 14 miles in total, and pray. So we're practically going on a short pilgramege by fott to 20 something church's, than meet back at my church for the Bishops Mass (which I also get to serve). So the whole thing is ten hrs. long. I will keep you in my prayers. PAX and DEUS ABENCA!

hello Catholic Deacon! I would like to thankyou for helping defend the faith. I have a question though. I'm sure you know I'm an altar boy. This is my ninth year. As a Deacon and as an Altar Boy, we are required to attend every Mass and Holy Day of Obligation, and special Masses, in this case a Confirmation Mass. I have served about 4 so far. You know when the Bishop or his Representative wash their hands after the annointing of the Candidates? In my church 9as Im sure in all Catholic Chruches) when the Bishop washes his hands, he puts lemon and dried up balls of bread into the bowl of water, and than washes his hands with a bar of soap with the lemon and bread in it. I wanted to know if their is a symbolic maning to the lemon and bread, since the church si rich in symbolism. Thankyou. altarboy15

CatholicDeacon, Apparently the Bible text I posted was found to be offensive and was removed from the comments. Here it is again, we will see how long it lasts here.... Leviticus 12:8 If she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering. In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.' " As you can see the text mentions "sin offering" and "clean" as both related to what Mary did.

Is Mary the co-reedemer? added: 58 days ago
>>Worship accidently??? By accident? My beloved, if they are worship in SPIRIT remember that the Spirit DOESN'T commit mistakes<< So if the spirit does not commit mistakes them the spirit knows that when I take a picture of my mother and kiss it and say "I Love you with all my heart" I am not worshiping her. When I go to her tomb and bring flowers to her in Mothers day, the spirit knows that I'm honoring her memory not worshiping her as a God. So... Why is so difficult to understand that The Spirit knows that when a Catholic honors the mother of our Lord, the one woman by which salvation came to world, by which the word became flesh and dwelled among us, we are NOT giving the worship that is only reserved to God?

Is Mary the co-reedemer? added: 65 days ago
SirHibrido So...By ignoring my question, I guess you do not know if we can worship something by accident, (Hint: it is imposible since in the worship of God what matters is your intension NOt your actions) so if you do not know this why you acuse Catholics of worshiping Mary, when in their harts Catholics know the difference between dulia nd hyperdulia?

Is Mary the co-reedemer? added: 75 days ago
Hyperdulia it is! Let me ask you something SirHibrido can you worship something by mistake? If this is the case can you show me in scripture a case in which some was punished by God for doing this? Or in which God say "Make sure that what you are worshiping is me and not another God, even when your intension is to worship me"

To Veritaas and others, a medallion has a representation of Mary in one side and the phrase
' From God through Mary Comes Salvation" on the other. Of course this MUST BE undeniable proof that all Catholics are idolaters. Wasn’t Jesus who said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through me." But... The medallion never claims that Mary IS the only way to God the Father, it doesn’t even say that Mary IS the only way to Jesus...It only says that salvation comes from God through Mary.
Now veritaas challenged me to :” Find the phrase where Christ said something about Salvation through His mother and I'll change my mind.” How about this one John 4:22 “for salvation is from the Jews.” Mary was the mother of Jesus, Mary was a Jew, from the royal line of David. Hence salvation comes through Mary because she was the only Jew who gave birth to Jesus. Do you see the logic here???? Paul alludes to this undeniable fact when he teaches: Galatians 4:4 “But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law.” What woman? Mary. What law? The Jewish covenant.
One last thing… I do not expect you to change your mind, but to understand where Catholics come from when we say that “Salvation is from God through Mary”.

You know what I find funy and sad at the same time??? That someone posts a bunch of pictures claiming to be prove that Catholics worship Mary and that a bunch of people jump in the band wagon to accuse the RCC of worshiping Mary and blaspheny. Take another look at the pictures again... At least one does not come from Catholic sources and a few are hardly catholic at all!!! Here is a challenge for Karen... How about identifying all the sources of these pictures to see how many are sanctioned by the Catholic Church?

Hey Trackman, you can "Test al things" with out insulting your audience. I find the picture you used offensive.. I will not dignify your statements you are here obviously to to cause strife. The anti-christ knows knows which church to attack.

53:5 But He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.

53:6 All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.

This past Good Friday as I sat at my bench listening to the words of the prophet Isaiah, these two passages spoke to me in a very deep way. You see, I have always reflected on the effects sin have in lives and our relationship with God, however after I stumbled with this CCC paragraph my reflection turned to how our sins affect Jesus. Here it is:

598 In her Magisterial teaching of the faith and in the witness of her saints, the Church has never forgotten that "sinners were the authors and the ministers of all the...
