Hello Brother in Christ, thank you for the comment. To be honest, you made lots of comments and asked lots of questions. Unfortunately, I can't respond to them all but I will share with you my purpose of the video. Every time I speak I have an intended audience to whom I am speaking. My hope for this video is to encourage people to not skip church but to go and learn more about how AWESOME JESUS is!!! Many people, including myself have made many excuses to why they don't go to church to fellowship with brothers in Christ and to learn more about Jesus. I do want to answer one of your questions though. Doesn't going to a building divide you from other believers in other buildings?" NO, actually most of my Christian friends don't go to my church not because of denomination but because of the ministry God has called us to do. Every community has different needs and different buildings where Christians serve the community with the purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ! The truth is if I forsake the assembly or the "building" where the church assembles then I would not have dozens of believers praying for me and helping me grow closer to God because I would be at home saying I'm not going to a building because it pulls me away from other believers"...When in reality if I don't go to church then I will not be able to assemble with so many other believers in Christ because they will not be able to fit in my mobile home. LOL! Oh, by the way you are right the church is not the building but when believers assemble in the building it makes it a church! Jesus is AWESOME! |

This comment is in response to your comments about learning to defend the resurrection. I see what you are saying and I agree that if your life is not reflecting your new identity in Christ you are severely hurting your witness. Nonetheless, we should also witness in other ways. We should tell our testimony. We should love others as we love ourselves. We should be using our tithes to show the world Christs love and our faith. We should walk in the Holy Spirit in all things allowing God to move through us in power. In all of our actions we should show that our faith is first. All the different biblical means that are available to us to show Christ and lead others to Christ should be used. To neglect one of these areas is a serious error. We are also commanded to make a defense of our faith. In I Pet 3:15 we are told “be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fearâ€. The greek word for answer is apologia ap-ol-og-ee'-ah from the same as 626; a plea ("apology"):--answer (for self), clearing of self, defence. We are told to defend the hope that is in us. Peter in Acts 1:3 says To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs. Why would Peter speak of infallible proofs if it was not important? Look throughout the book of acts and you will see Paul making logical arguments to Jews and Gentiles. These arguments are aimed at building the faith of believers and converting unbelievers. Jesus continually used logic in the gospels. Why would he reference prophecies that were being fulfilled? He did this for those who needed to see evidence (which is all of us). Do not forget that in John 1:1 Jesus is called the word. In greek that is Logos from which we get our word logic. Logic is not God but an attribute of God is logic. Logic is the practice of good reasoning and putting thoughts in order. The only way to avoid logic is to quit thinking, because logic is the basis for all thought. The response you gave for my short film used logic. Every time you put thoughts in order to reach a logical conclusion you are using logic. If you were to explain to someone that they were a sinner and in need of a savior, you would need to use logic. If I understood you right I believe what you were saying was that a person does not need to defend there faith but rather live a righteous life in order to witness your faith. I disagree. Yes some will consider our evidence foolishness and that’s ok. Some also will consider our Christ like life and love and foolishness. We must use every tool God gives us or we are disobeying his commands. Again, Jesus, Peter James John and Paul all defended the faith and gave reasons for a person to believe. Why would Mathew take the time to point out all the prophecies Jesus fulfilled? Think about it. He lived a righteous life. Why did he need to say anything about prophecies? The Jews needed evidence to believe. Why did Peter need to mention Jesus showing himself alive by many infallible proofs? Why would anyone need infallible proofs? Why did Jesus show himself to anyone at all after his resurrection? Would Paul have believed if Jesus had not showed himself to him? Why were the bereans commended for searching the scriptures? Why couldn’t they have just believed by Paul’s righteous and changed life? How do you expect to lead someone to Christ? By you life and love? Ok, but that is a logical argument. You are saying because my life has been changed by Christ’s so can your life be changed by Christ. There are many scriptures to show that defending and showing evidence for our faith is recommended as a good way to evangelize. It is not easy to learn to do this but we must. A changed life is not enough. Are not the Mormons living a changed life? What about the Jehovah’s witnesses? There are many cults that show a changed life. Do you think a changed life will convince someone that they did not evolve from an ape? It is good to live a resurrected life and to show the world we are not hypocrites. It is good to let our life speak for itself but you cannot use that as an excuse to not take the time to learn apologetics. Please do not take this response wrong. I am in no way trying to make an enemy of you. You are my brother in the Lord. I come from a church that criticizes those who try to defend there faith in a logical manner. I had to leave there after being a member for 8 years. I was part of the leadership of the church as well as taught youth and an occasional Sunday. This is an issue that is near and dear to me. It pains me when people miss this important piece of good evangelism. It should not be the only thing a person should focus on. We must not make an idol of anything. But it must not be forgotten.
