Richard sent me this mail today containing an article for a church magazine, to check it over and see if it made sense.

I was knocked out to finally see the sense and thread of the meaning of the songs on the album. So that is what it is all about! All the piano in the sea stuff, living under the sun (even with the weather in the U.K.?) the drum pounding at unearthly hours. If only he had told me I would have kicked him out to get a job sooner! Now its too late!

:-(

I don't know where these kids get it all from. Read on to make your own mind up:

Life Under The Sun

Up and coming rock band Oposium from Poole are set to release their debut album entitled Life Under The Sun. Featuring the bandâs award winning track Behind The Rain (courtesy of Roland UK), the album encompasses a combination of beautiful piano melodies, catchy guitar riffs and anthemic vocal lines. Oposium, who are fast becoming known as âthe band who threw their piano into the seaâ have been working on the album for the past year and a half. âThe album is based on the Ecclesiastes concept of life under the sun and where we stand in our relationships with Godâ, explains lead singer and guitarist Richard McLester. The album is really a journey of discovery, moving from the uncertainty of the opening tracks with titles such as This Is Why We Fall and Come Awake to the uplifting praise of the title track Life Under The Sun.

âThe album is as lyrically provocative as it is musically challengingâ agrees Sam Hanson, Oposiumâs piano virtuoso. âOne of the aims of the project is to carve out a genre of our ownâ

10% of album sales will be donated to help with local Poole, UK. based homelessness charity Routes To Roots. The charity is seeking help to develop a much needed resource centre in Poole for people who are ârootlessâ and most in need in the community. Bassist Scott Blandford elaborates on Oposiumâs partnership with Routes To Roots âRoutes To Roots have this fantastic vision for working with the homeless in Poole. It just needs more people to know about it and thatâs where Oposium fit inâ.

Life Under The Sun is being released under the independent label Conical Sphere Records and is available from www.oposium.com .
