Barbarian's Blog
Here's a response I got back from Customer Care:
Dear HoustonTheBarbarian,
Thank you for your support and interest in all that GodTube has to offer. We have taken down the chat room feature of the website as we look to explore new and exciting ways for our users to interact with one another. Over the next few months, we will be implementing several new features that will enhance the way are able to communicate with your friends and fellow GodTube members.
As these features are introduced, we will continue to evaluate our user experience and feedback, including the possible need for a chat-based interface.
Please continue to be patient as we develop and release these fantastic, innovative new areas of GodTube, and please do not hesitate to email us with any further questions. Thank you again for your continued support, and check back frequently for exciting new features!
Sincerely,
GodTube Staff
Did you catch the part about "possible need for a chat-based interface"? Looks like the chat is gone for good.... begin your disappointed emails to customercare@godtube.com
Barbarian is dead. I killed him. With a few well-placed taps of my finger against the letters on my lap, an icon has been slain.
It was bloodless but painful. Barbarian had become so much of my identity, despite not encompasing my full personality. He was a character. A nearly true to life character... but a character nonetheless.
He always ended up saying what I wanted to say... but not always in the manner I would have preferred. Thus Barbarian, and me by extension, became known as a jerk... an arrogantly self-righteous pundit with dubious salvation. Barbarian accumulated too many of these incorrect attributions... and so he had to die.
In his death, the phoenix of truth emerges... known as HoustonTheBarbarian, who you will generally see me as. My hope is that he will be even truer to myself. Possessing both my thoughts and my personality/humility.
Thus, please contact me on that name... but keep in mind... like all great superheroes... death is never permanent. Barbarian will return when the need arises.
