Just because you never heard it doesn't mean it isn't true.

Just because you never heard it doesn't mean it isn't true.

"So many things that Jesus said were never written down

The world would not contain the books if every one were bound

You won't read it in John's gospel, there's no chapter 22

But just because you never heard it doesn't mean it isn't true."

Jesus and I took many long walks together that you didn't see in the movie. He'd tell me things in that "silent voice" I spoke of earlier. He told me stories of his childhood and his first dog, named Ebenezer, a mutt like me. He told me about what it was like to be a human, and I told him what it was like to be a dog. This blog would be way too long if I told you even a small part of what he said, but in the end, it all came down to Love. "Love your neighbor as yourself," was one of his favorite sayings.

If everybody were to actually do that, what a wonderful world it would be! Maya says, "Love yourself with all your heart, too." Because if you do that, you'll be loving God too. The God in you, the Holy Spirit that is always with us. After all, if God loves you, you should too. That spirit is with Maya and I now, as we approach Jerusalem. It's been a long journey and we're tired, making our way back to her home, where I'm sure they'll be happy to see her. They'll probably greet her like the father who ran down the road to meet the prodigal son! That was another one of Jesus' favorite stories. I hope it gets in the New Testament He told me was going to be written. Jesus told me a lot of things about what you humans call the future. To God, there isn't a whole lot of difference between the future and the past, they're only different parts of forever.

Love,

Jericho
