I SAW JESUS

The following are words from a song written well over 20 years ago. I never did get around to recording it for some reason. I thought since God Tube has graciously made these blog spaces available that perhaps this would serve as kind of a blog as well. I pray that these words would bless someone.



I SAW JESUS



I saw Jesus, born of a virgin in Bethlehem

I saw him in the temple stand

I saw him grow into a man

I saw Jesus



I saw Jesus, On Jordon's banks I saw him stand

walk down in the water and take John's hand

I saw God's Spirit on him descend

I saw Jesus



I saw Jesus, give sight to the blind

and lepers cleanse

by his word and the touch of his hand

Saw demons flee at his command

I saw Jesus



If you'd like to see him too

Here's exactly what to do

Just open up God's Holy Word

And you'll see the things you've heard



I saw Jesus

Saw him before Pilate stand

I saw them mock and spit on him

His visage marred more than any man

I saw Jesus



I saw Jesus

On Calvary's tree I watched him die

For the sin's of you and I

Forgive them Father I heard him cry

I saw Jesus

Raised from the dead

By God's own hand

Then never more to die again

Then seated by God's own right hand

I saw Jesus



If you'd like to see him too

To see the things he's done for you

Just open up God's Holy Word

And you will see the things you've heard
